Primary Care Asthma Preceptorship (PCAP)

PCAP is an innovative 4 hour training session for primary care providers (physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, physicians’ assistants, respiratory therapists) in the management of asthma. During this preceptorship, participants will be brought up to date on the clinical practice guidelines for care of children with asthma, the role of office pulmonary function tests, and how to integrate an environmental history into pediatric care, including how to minimize exposure to environmental toxins.

Not One More Life
We are pleased to announce that we are working hard to bring Not One More Life, an innovative screening program for asthma and other respiratory disorders, to Westchester and the Hudson Valley.  This program is a result of partnership with the staff of CEHCHV and churches and other faith-based agencies.  There are great disparities in asthma recognition and care.  Many people don’t even know they have asthma, and many are inadequately treated. This program is an attempt to make a change.
